Joint Hill Day
UF Health Cancer Center leaders join cancer community in advocating on Capitol Hill
Jonathan D. Licht, M.D., and Thomas George, M.D., FACP, participated in the AACI/AACR Joint Hill Day to advocate for cancer research funding on May 18. The annual day brings together cancer center directors, researchers, physician-scientists, cancer survivors and others to advocate for cancer research funding and promote responsible cancer care policy and biomedical research.

Mollie’s family finds hope at UF Health Proton Therapy Institute
More than four years after treatment for rhabdomyosarcoma, now 7-year-old Mollie and her family returned to the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute to follow up face-to-face with Daniel Indelicato, M.D.

Angela Starkweather, Ph.D., ACNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN
Angela Starkweather, Ph.D., ACNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, Chamings Professor and assistant dean for research development in the UF College of Nursing, is a nurse scientist and clinician. Her research focuses on identifying the factors that contribute to the transition of acute to chronic pain and associated symptoms, as well as the development and implementation of interventions to improve quality of life for people affected by cancer and other health conditions.
