Robotic technology streamlines lung cancer diagnosis
Hiren Mehta, M.D., discusses how now with robotic tools, UF Health physicians can quickly and safely access and biopsy difficult-to-reach nodules in the peripheral lung — where more than 70% of cancer lung nodules are located — streamlining diagnosis and treatment.

Xiuyao Song, Ph.D.
Xiuyao Song, Ph.D., is the assistant director of research intelligence at the UF Health Cancer Center. In this role, she leads the center’s research intelligence team, which provides a wide range of application development and data analytics services for researchers. This annual event includes a keynote presentation by a nationally renowned cancer researcher, a judged poster session with prizes for the top trainee posters and three-minute thesis presentations by the Cancer Center Predoctoral Award recipients.
