Lingtao Jin, Ph.D. | Mechanisms of Oncogenesis Research Program
Dr. Jin, assistant professor in the UF College of Medicine’s department of anatomy and cell biology, is this year’s recipient of the James B. Dougherty, M.D., Award for Scientific Merit. The award is presented to the investigator whose proposal was selected for outstanding overall merit by the Lung Cancer Research Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board.
Dr. Jin’s research project is titled, “The role of protein kinase signaling in cisplatin-resistant ASCL1-high subtype small cell lung cancer.”

Dr. Dziegielewski, chief of the UF College of Medicine’s division of head and neck oncologic and microvascular reconstructive surgery, was awarded a Kenneth W. Grader Professorship.

Dr. Tighe, associate professor of anesthesiology, has received the Donn Dennis, M.D., Professorship in Anesthetic Innovation. The Donn Dennis, M.D., Professorship in Anesthetic Innovation was established to support research in the department of anesthesiology with a special focus on anesthetic innovation.

Dr. Zhang was awarded the Dr. and Mrs. James Robert Spencer Professorship of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine.

Dr. Zhou, a professor of pharmacodynamics and radiation oncology, was awarded the Harry E. Innes Professorship in Cancer Research.

Dr. Johnson, dean and distinguished professor in the UF College of Pharmacy, has received one of the pharmacy profession’s most prestigious awards — the Paul F. Parker Medal from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. The Parker Medal Selection Committee selected Johnson based on her contributions furthering the professional role of pharmacists and her visionary leadership.
