Meet UFHCC Development
Invested in Philanthropy
By fostering philanthropic investment, the UF Health Cancer Center development team supports the center in its mission of advancing cancer research, education and patient care. UFHCC Development focuses on individual philanthropy, working with University of Florida alumni, friends of the center and grateful patients. They also work with both university and community partners, such as the Cancer Center Leadership Council and local nonprofit organizations, on awareness and fundraising events. Additionally, the team provides support for memorial giving to cancer programs.
Carré Mitchell, Ileana Canizares and Ashley Owens joined the UF Health Cancer Center family in 2016, forming the center’s development team. Carré, a UF graduate, came to the UFHCC from the IFAS Development office and leads the team as senior director. Ileana got her start in development with Florida International University’s College of Business, of which she is an alumna, and serves as the assistant director. Ashley, also a UF alumna, joined the team after working in the UF Health Office of Development and serves as development coordinator.
Should you have any questions regarding philanthropy at the UF Health Cancer Center or are aware of an individual interested in supporting your research, please don’t hesitate to call or email the team.
